HOW CAN I PREPARE?

EAT - Make sure you have a good breakfast/lunch before you come into the studio, this is to make sure your body is well prepared for the tattoo itself! For day sittings your welcome to bring a lunch with you, please note you are not allowed to eat inside the studio due to health and safety.

CLEAN - Make sure you are clean and fresh for your appointment!

LOCATION - Make sure you know where we are, check the contact page for address and map. Plan out your route before your appointment. If you think your going to be late then please call the shop to let me know. Being very late will cause cancellation and losing your deposit. The nearest car park is Meadow Hall car park which is located behind Fenwicks Shopping Centre.

NUMBING? - I am not qualified to give advice or recommend any such products, however should you wish to use these this would be at your own discretion and risk. The studio or myself will not be held accountable should this affect the tattoo during or after  your appointment. When booking in larger pieces or sleeves you can ask for 3 hour sessions instead of day sessions if pain is a issue.
If you should have a allergic reaction to the numbing cream you use i will not be able to tattoo you, therfore forfitting your deposit and half of the price. If you wish to do this i recommend doing some test patches to ensure this does not happen.

CLOTHING- Please ensure you are wearing comfy clothes that you wont mind getting ink on. You should wear appropriate clothing for the placement of your tattoo, e.g if your getting a leg piece done please wear/bring shorts.
LADIES, if we are tattooing a placement such as the sternum or side-boob, please note you cannot wear a bra during this process and after. This is because the bra will get in the way of placement and also distort the skin. Wearing a bra afterwards would cause pain and irritation to the area, tearing at the tattoo and possible infection. If you are able to please wear a strapless bra, nipple covers or whatever you feel comfortable with. There is a screen available to be put up for privacy.

FRIENDS/FAMILY?
- Please note our studio is small with limited space. There is a waiting room if you choose to bring a friend/family member but they are not permitted to enter the studio due to health and safety. It can get quite boring so i suggest they have a wonder round town while they wait.
Please also note, this is a work area where we have to concentrate, not a hang out spot.
Please do not bring family members/friends who you know are against tattoos. I am here to do my job as best as i can for you, i do not want to have a discussion or be attacked on why this is my job. If anyone becomes aggressive towards me i will demand that they leave.

PAYMENT?
- When booking in i will give you a estimate of the price your tattoo will be. This is only a estimate as there are so many factors that can change situations e.g. how long it takes, if we change the size or colour etc. You will pay a deposit via PayPal or by dropping cash into the studio. Once your tattoo is done you will then pay the rest of the amount in cash. We do not have a card machine so you will have to get cash out before your appointment. There is a cash point outside Tescos just 2 minutes down the road.

DEPOSIT
I require a £40 deposit or more to securing bookings. For full day sessions i require a £100 deposit. Deposits are non-refundable but can be moved with a weeks notice. Deposits can be paid by dropping into the studio or sending over through PayPal via friends and family.
Sessions are not secured without a deposit, this is so i can pay my rent to the studio and ensure i will get paid on that day. Please note this is how i pay my bills like any other job.

AFTER CARE
Once the tattoo is done, i will then wrap it in cling film and advise to leave on for 6-8 hours. After that remove the clingfilm and jump in the shower to wash off all the excess ink and blood. This will look gooey but don't worry its absolutely normal, just wash it all of with just warm running water! Once out, let the tattooed air dry, or if your in a bit of a rush you can dab it down with a paper towel. Do not use your everyday towel. This could have bits of fibre and bacteria which you don't want getting in your fresh tattoo! It is essentially a open wound!
I recommend you get yourself some Palmers CoaCoa Butter, which you can get from Holland and Barret or Boots. Apply enough to cover the area, but just enough for it to sink into the skin, don't smother it, using too much can make it worse. Each time applying the cream make sure the tattoo is cleaned, so your not rubbing in anything nasty.
It should take about 3-4 weeks for your tattoo to fully heal, but everyone is different! ( I take about 5 weeks!) As you tattoo heals it will get itchy and start to scab up. Dont scratch or pick it! The scab will fall off in its own time. let it do its thang! Don't submerge the tattoo in water. Showers are fine, but not baths or swimming!

WHAT IF MY TATTOO NEEDS A TOUCH UP?
During the healing process some areas of the tattoo may fade or fall out, depending on the placement this can sometimes always happen in small places.
I offer a free touch up for the first month of it being fully healed. After this month i will have to charge by time to cover costing.
If you feel like your tattoo may need a touch up, send over a photo so i can have a look and see what needs/if any needs touching up.
Free touch ups do not cover if you have picked at the tattoo or not looked after, i will be able to tell by looking at the tattoo.
